ILL FROM TOO MUCH VACCINE
CHICAGO, Dec. 8. – The young son of John H., Duncan, note teller of the Hibernian Banking Association, is dying at the Duncan home 1, 212 West Monroe Street, of asceptic, resulting from compulsory vaccination in the public schools.
Mr. Duncan appeared before the Committee on School Management of the Board of Education today and related the whole story. His boy was a pupil at the Cunningham School, of which H. G. Clarke is the Principal.
He said he was strong and healthy up to a few weeks ago. The Duncan family doctor had vaccinated the boy and had given a certificate stating this fact. Notwithstanding this, Mr. Duncan claims that Principal Clarke insisted upon another vaccination by Dr. Matthews of the Health Department, who had been assigned to vaccinate the children of the Cunningham School.

The two vaccinations coming so close together cause the boy to become seriously ill, the ailment resulting in asceptic fever, which will in all probability prove fatal. Mr. Duncan declared that the action of Principal Clarke was outrageous and notified the committee that he would sue the Board of Education for damages.
